The 25-year-old averaged 27.4 points per game, the ninth most in the NBA this season, while leading the Celtics to a 14-4 record, the best in the East. He finished Oct./Nov. with seven double-doubles as Boston went 8-0 for a perfect record at the TD Garden.
The four-time All-Star finished the two months with eight 30 or more-point games, including a season-high 45-point performance against the Charlotte Hornets on November 20. He fended off tough competition from Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks), Orlando Magic duo of Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, Jalen Brunson (Knicks), Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey of the Philadelphia 76ers, Tyrese Haliburton (Pacers) and Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland).

In the Western Conference, Denver Nuggets’ center Nikola Jokic took home the accolade, having led his side to a 12-6 record across the games played within the Oct./Nov.
The towering Serb has earned the honour seven times in his career, the most in franchise history. He averaged 29.0 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 9.2 assists in 18 games during October and November.
The two-time MVP recorded seven triple-doubles within the stated period, while the rest of the NBA combined for eight in total. Jokic had four straight 30+ point games and two 30+ point triple-doubles without a single turnover.
He also became the first player since Elgin Baylor in 1967 to start a season with 12 straight games of 20+ points and 10+ rebounds; and currently leads the NBA in total points, rebounds and assists. Jokic outperformed Los Angeles Lakers’ Anthony Davis (LAL), Luka Doncic (Mavericks), Kevin Durant (Suns), Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), De’Aaron Fox (Kings), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder) and Alperen Şengun of the Houston Rocket to win the honours.
