The 28-year-old reportedly had a partially torn right meniscus, which he carried through the last month of the regular season and the playoffs, where Boston lost in six games to the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The four-time All-Star will be expected to carry much of the Celtic’s offence next season, with co-star Jayson Tatum expected most of the campaign as he continues to recuperate from a ruptured Achilles tendon he sustained against the Knicks.
