Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski will miss international duty with Poland after sustaining a back injury from Sunday’s game against Real Sociedad, Afrosport reports.
The Polish Football Association stated that the La Liga’s top-scorer will be out for a little under two weeks and will miss Poland’s November Nations League matches against Portugal and Scotland.
The statement via Flashscore.com read: “The Polish Football Association informs that Robert Lewandowski will not take part in the November training camp of the Polish national team preparing for the UEFA League of Nations matches against Portugal and Scotland.
“The reason for the national team captain’s absence is the back injury he suffered in a league match against Real Sociedad, ruling him out of the game for around 10 days.”
Barcelona also confirmed that the striker will stay back in Spain to recover from his injury to be available for Hansi Flick’s game against Celta Vigo on 23 November.
