Nacho: Real Madrid legend moves to Saudi club Al-Qadsiah

Former Real Madrid defender Nacho has completed a free transfer to newly-promoted Saudi Pro League club, Al-Qadsiah.

Nacho brought an end to his 23-year stay at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday and he is set for his first adventure outside Madrid.

The 34-year-old started his professional career at Real Madrid in 2011 after coming through their youth ranks between 2001 and 2011.

He left the Spanish capital as the most decorated player in Real Madrid history alongside Luka Modric after winning a total of 26 titles which include six UEFA Champions League trophies and four La Liga.

Al-Qadsiah gained promotion to the Saudi Pro League after winning the second division title last season.

Nacho is currently on duty with Spain at the Euro 2024 where they are preparing to face Georgia in the round of 16, however, he will be joining former Real Madrid teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the Middle East from next season.
