Bryan Mbeumo scored a brace and provided an assist while Yoane Wissa scored one and provided another as Brentford thumped Southampton 5-0 away from home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, Afrosport reports.
The Bees were off their marks in the sixth minute though Kevin Schade which remained 1-0 until the 53rd minute when Sepp van den Berg thought he made it 2-0 but was ruled out for offside by VAR.
The onslaught began in the 62nd minute when Wissa assisted Mbeumo for the Cameroonian’s 12th league goal of the season. It became 3-0 seven minutes later when he converted from the penalty spot.
Mbeumo assisted for Keane Lewis-Potter to make it 4-0 in the second minute of 10 additional minutes before DR Congo forward Wissa put the final nail in the coffin in the 95th minute for his 10th goal in the top flight this term.

The result was Brentford’s first away win of the season which has moved them up to 10th on the league standings.
It was also their biggest-ever win in the Premier League, their biggest away win in the top flight and their biggest top flight win in 87 years.
