Inaki Williams scored his first La Liga goal of the season as Athletic Bilbao claimed a 2-0 win over Osasuna in the Basque Derby on Saturday.
Los Leones suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Real Madrid last weekend and were looking to set the record straight. It was however not going to be straightforward against a Los Rojillos side that claimed a victory by the same 2-0 scoreline at Celta Vigo in their own opener.
Athletic took the lead in the 11th minute when Inaki tapped in from close range after getting on the end of a cross from his brother Nico.
Nico was at it at again nine minutes later as Gorka Guruzeta did a simple tap in from the young Spaniard’s goal bound effort.
Nico Williams’ two assists made him the second youngest Athletic Bilbao player to provide two assists in the same La Liga game in the 21st century after Iker Muniain.

The derby however ended on a sour note as both Osasuna and Athletic had a player sent off each in Chimy Avila and Oihan Sancet respectively.
Bilbao will play hosts to Real Betis at San Mames in their next La Liga fixture on August 27.
