Jamaica head coach Steve McClaren has announced a 22-man squad to help the Reggae Boyz navigate the 2025 Unity Cup tournament set to take place from 27-31 May in London, Afrosport reports.

McClaren, who was appointed Jamaica boss in July 2024, named three goalkeepers, seven defenders, five midfielders, and six forwards in his squad for the Afro-Caribbean invitational tournament.

The former Manchester United assistant coach has invited goalkeepers Shaquan Davis and Benjamin Williams, defenders Mason Holgate and Amari’I Bell, midfielders Isaac Hayden and Kasey Palmer, and forwards Dwayne Atkinson and Renaldo Cephas.

McClaren initially announced a 21-man squad, but the 64-year-old has updated the list, adding defender Sue-Lae McCalla to the Jamaican squad.

Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Ghana, and Nigeria will all compete in the four-team invitational scheduled for Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium.

The Reggae Boyz will battle Caribbean neighbours, the Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago, in the tournament’s opening match and first semifinal on Tuesday, 27 July.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will lock horns with Ghana’s Black Stars on Wednesday, 28 July, in the other semi-final.

The teams will return for the third-place match and final on the last day of the tournament on Sunday, 31 May, with the event set to showcase the best of Africa and the Caribbean culture with a focus on football and entertainment.
