Morocco international Achraf Hakimi will miss the first leg of Paris Saint-Germain’s quarter-final tie in the UEFA Champions League due to suspension.
The 25-year-old received a yellow card in the second leg of PSG’s round-of-16 encounter against Real Sociedad on Tuesday night after a late challenge on Spanish defender Javi Galan in the 42nd minute.
Hakimi had already been booked twice early in the competition: in their 4-1 defeat at Newcastle and their 3-0 win over AC Milan.
The two-time African Youth Player of the Year will now serve a one-match ban in the elite European competition.
A win and qualification!
The Parisians win at the Reala Arena and qualify to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

PSG won the match 2-1 thanks to a brace from French forward Kylian Mbappe, despite Mikel Merino drawing one back for Sociedad late in the game.
The Parisians progressed to the last eight 4-1 on aggregate, and they will get to know their quarter-final opponent when the draw is carried out on Friday, March 15, in Nyon, Switzerland.
