Galatasaray in talks with Tottenham to sign Bissouma on loan

Tottenham boss Frank confirms Bissouma return for Premier League opener

Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray are reportedly in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a loan deal for Mali midfielder Yves Bissouma, Afrosport reports.

The 28-year-old is yet to feature for Spurs this season after new manager Thomas Frank left him out of the squad that faced Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup due to persistent lateness in training.

Bissouma missed the Premier League season-opening 3-0 win against Burnley due to injury and was unavailable in Saturday’s big 2-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

He joined Tottenham from Brighton & Hove Albion in a £25 million deal in 2022 and has made 100 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.

The Lillywhites have already signed Portugal defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich, with the 30-year-old getting off the mark in the win against City at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray have strengthened this summer with the signing of Leroy Sane, Victor Osimhen, Ismail Jakobs and Przemysław Frankowski.

They have started their Super Lig title defence with wins against Gaziantep, Fatih Karagumruk and Kayserispor, scoring a combined 10 goals and keeping clean sheets in them.
