Fiorentina forward Moise Kean has been discharged from the hospital after collapsing on the pitch following a head injury he sustained during their 1-0 defeat at Verona on Sunday, Afrosport reports.
Kean got hit in the face by Pawel Dawidowicz’s knee while jostling for the ball in the 58th minute at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium.
The 24-year-old, who continued playing after receiving treatment, lost his balance before falling on the pitch as players on both teams called out for the medics before the match was halted.
Kean, who was eventually stretchered off with a neck brace and was rushed to the hospital, was replaced by Juventus loanee Nicolo Fagioli.
A statement from the club on Monday read: “Fiorentina announces that Moise Kean was discharged from the Verona hospital during the night and returned to Florence. The clinical and diagnostic tests carried out were all negative.”
The Italy international has been in fine form for La Viola this season with 15 goals and two assists in 24 league games.
