The National Basketball Association (NBA) on Thursday announced the 12-man finalists for the 2022–23 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award.
The award recognises the player seen as the ‘ideal teammate’, who showcases selfless play, commitment, and dedication to the team, along with on- and off-court leadership as a mentor and role model to other players in and around the NBA.
The selected players include two previous winners – Damian Lillard (2020-21) and 2021 NBA champion Jrue Holiday (2019-20 and 2021-22), along with two-time league MVP and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Miami Heat legends, and the league’s current oldest player, Udonis Haslem, among others.

The finalists comprise six players each from the Western and Eastern Conferences and they were selected by a panel of NBA executives, while the current active players will be given the opportunity to select the winner.
Other former winners include Chauncey Billups (2012-13), Shane Battier (2013-14), Tim Duncan (2014-15), Vince Carter (2015-16), and Dirk Nowitzki (2016-17).
