Chris Eubank Jr. has been handed a £100,000 fine for slapping Conor Benn with an egg during last month’s media conference, Afrosport reports.
The 35-year-old hit Benn with an egg during their obligatory face off, slapping his rival across the face with his left hand.
Benn was infuriated, charging at his fellow Brit before both boxers were separated by security guards at the Manchester Central venue on 25 February.
The British Boxing Board of Control, in a statement, revealed that Eubank was in breach of regulation 25 in relation to misconduct.

The two rivals will square off in a super middleweight bout on 26 April at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London.
They were initially billed to face off at O2 Arena in October 2022, but the proposed fight was called off after Benn failed a voluntary drug test. The 28-year-old was provisionally suspended for two years before it was lifted in November 2024.
Benn, however, has repeatedly denied knowingly doping, and the World Boxing Council (WBC) claimed that his adverse test result was “most likely” caused by egg contamination.
Meanwhile, both Eubank and Benn are being tested by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) for next month’s bout.
