Trezeguet grew through the youth ranks at Al Ahly and made his first team debut in 2012, winning eight titles with the Cairo-based club, including one Egyptian Premier League, two CAF Champions League titles, one CAF Confederation Cup, and two CAF Super Cups.
He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Qatari club Al-Rayyan, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
Trezeguet made his international debut for Egypt in August 2014 and has since scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in 82 appearances. He has represented the Pharaohs in numerous international competitions, including three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The former Istanbul Basaksehir forward is expected to suit up for Al Ahly at the expanded 32-team Club World Cup, which will take place from 14 June to 13 July.
The Egyptian champions are drawn in Group A alongside Porto and Palmeiras and Inter Miami, who they will face in their opening match at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on 14 June.
Al Ahly are expected to jet out to the United States on 4 June before taking on Mexican club Pachuca in a pre-tournament friendly four days later.
