Premier League champions Manchester City equalled the European record set by their city rivals, Manchester United, after a 4-0 win against Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday.
Pep Guardiola’s side were spotless at the Etihad Stadium as goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Phila Foden, Erling Halaand and James McAtee sealed all three points for the Cityzens.
City’s win ensured they remained unbeaten in their last 25 matches in the UEFA Champions League, recording 17 wins and eight draws in that stretch.
The victory sees them tie the Red Devils for the joint-longest run without suffering defeat in European Cup/Champions League history, after the Old Trafford outfit achieved the feat with between September 2007-May 2009.

City, who got their first win in Europe this season after a goalless draw against Inter Milan on opening day, rise to fourth in the league standings with four points.
They will be in action next on Saturday when they host Fulham in the Premier League, while in their next Champions League match, they will be at home against Sparta Prague.
