South African outfit Stellenbosch caused the biggest upset in the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final second leg on Wednesday after they knocked out reigning champions Zamalek, Afrosport reports.
The first leg in Stellenbosch ended goalless and the PSL side were able to stun the massive crowd at the Cairo International Stadium when Sihle Nduli scored the decisive goal in the 75th minute for a 1-0 aggregate win.
Stellenbosch have now progressed to the Confederation Cup semi-finals at first time of asking, and will now face Tanzanian giants Simba SC after they defeated Egyptian side Al Masry on penalties.
Simba lost the first leg in Alexandria 2-0 before levelling the tie on aggregate in Dar es Salaam, with goals from Ellie Mpanzu and Stephen Mukwala, and went on to win the resultant penalty shootout 4-1.
Constantine also needed penalties to defeat fellow Algerian side USM 4-3 after the game ended 2-2 on aggregate following a 1-1 draw in regular time.

They will set up a semi-final meeting with Morocco’s RS Berkane who defeated ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast 1-0 and 2-0 on aggregate.
