Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal on Tuesday was named the La Liga U23 Player of the Month for February, Afrosport reports.
The 17-year-old failed to score in the month under review, but was integral in helping Barcelona win all their four league games.
The Spain international registered just one goal contribution in La Liga in February, providing the assist for Dani Olmo’s goal in a 2-0 win over Las Palmas last weekend.

Yamal saw off competition from Javi Guerra (Valencia), Christantus Uche (Getafe), Javi Rodriguez (Celta Vigo), and Jesus Rodriguez (Real Betis) to win the award.
This marks the second time the Euro 2024 winner will win the award this season, having claimed the honours last August.
It makes it double honours for Barcelona after Hansi Flick won the Manager of the Month award.
