Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Jurrien Timber and William Saliba will miss the final game of the season against Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday, Afrosport reports.
Timber has undergone surgery for an ankle injury, having missed Sunday’s 1-0 win over Newcastle United, which secured their place in next season’s Champions League.
Saliba picked up a hamstring injury from the same game after he was forced off at half-time.
Arteta, providing an update on the duo, said: “William is going to be out for a few weeks, unfortunately. He pulled his hamstring against Newcastle.
“Jurrien had surgery yesterday on his ankle, so he’ll be out for a few weeks as well.”
