Algeria and Marseille forward Amine Gouiri on Sunday won the Ligue 1 Goal of the Season award at the 33rd edition of the French Players’ Union (UNFP) Trophies Gala, Afrosport reports.
Gouiri got the nod, winning the Just Fontaine trophy with his spectacular bicycle kick goal for Marseille in their 4-1 win against Brest at Stade Velodrome on Sunday, 27 April.
The 25-year-old, who scored a hat-trick in the game, controlled a cross from Mason Greenwood on his chest before unleashing a brilliant bicycle kick into the bottom corner for his second goal of the game and his club’s third.
