The Super Eagles of Nigeria are sweating on the fitness of Ademola Lookman and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru as the duo are doubtful for their clash against the Amavubi of Rwanda on Monday, Afrosport reports.
Lookman, who played the full 90 minutes for the Super Eagles against Benin Republic on Thursday, reportedly missed the team’s training two days later due to a knock he suffered against the Cheetahs.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that Dele-Bashiru, who was an unused substitute against Benin, sustained an injury prior to the game in Abidjan.
It is, however, left to see if the two stars will feature for the Super Eagles in their dead runner tie against Rwanda in their final Group D match in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Nigeria Football Federation has already confirmed that both Stanley Nwabali and Ola Aina will miss the match for separate reasons.
The Super Eagles will host the Amavubi at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, with a ticket to the AFCON finals in Morocco already in the bag.
