Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface will lead the Super Eagles attack when they take on Libya at the Godswill Akapbio Stadium in Uyo on Friday evening, Afrosport reports.
He was expected to lead the attack with talisman Victor Osimhen out of the squad due to injury, and interim manager Augustine Eguavoen has backed the 23-year-old to score against the Mediterranean Knights.
Boniface will be flanked in attack by 2024 Ballon d’Or nominee Ademola Lookman and Nantes winger Moses Simon.
The midfield comprises Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi while the defence is made up of Calvin Bassey, William Troost-Ekong, Bruno Onyemaechi and Ola Aina.
Chippa United shot-stopper Stanley Nwabali retains his place in the goalpost.
