Nigeria’s Super Falcons will look to take an early advantage when they face Benin’s Amazons in the first leg of their 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying fixture on Friday, Afrosport reports.
The match, which will be officiated by Gambian referee Ngum Fatou, will be played at the Stade de Kegue in Lome, with kick-off set for 4 p.m. Nigerian time.

Head coach Justine Madugu has 19 players available and says he’s confident the team can deliver a result befitting their status as 10-time African champions. A strong performance could make Tuesday’s return leg in Nigeria a mere formality.
“We have a team that will go out there and make us proud,” Madugu said.
“Yes, we would have loved to have Jennifer Echegini, but we do not, and we can only pray for her to recover quickly. On Friday, we will go out and play our game and seek the goals that will put us in a good stead ahead of the return leg.”
The Super Falcons are aiming to reach next year’s finals in Morocco, with all four semi-finalists from the tournament automatically qualifying for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
