Gabon forward Denis Bouanga has his sights on winning the MLS Cup with Los Angeles FC after he scored a brace in the 4-1 win over Austin FC and took him past 100 goals for the club, Afrosport reports.
The 30-year old’s brace took him to 101 competitive goals in 151 games, while providing an assist for Heung-Min Son and took his tally to 42 assists.
The victory saw LAFC triumph 2-0 in the best of three series playoffs and will now face Vancouver Whitecaps in the Western Conference semi-finals on Candain soil.
“I’m very happy to win this game and I’m so proud of the team and very happy to score 100 goals in all competitions (for LAFC),“ Bouanga said after the match.
“We work hard for that and keep going. It’s against Vancouver away so we need to keep this energy for the next round.
“For sure it is a big game against Vancouver but we have good players too and have to keep pushing.”
