Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie scored a brace while Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez had a brace of assists as Al-Ahli defeated 10-man Al-Qadisiya 5-1 in the second semi-final of the Saudi Super Cup in Hong Kong on Wednesday, Afrosport reports.
The current AFC Champions League holders started on the back foot as Ghana forward Christopher Bonsu Baah set up Uruguay defender Gaston Ramirez for the opener after eight minutes.
Al-Ahli were however undeterred as they responded four minutes later through Kessie, with former Brentford striker Ivan Toney netting from the penalty spot in the 28th minute to make it 2-1.
Mahrez would go on to set up Enzo Millot for the third goal in the 31st minute before Bonsu Baah was given his marching orders for a foul in the 42nd minute.
Mahrez provided his second assist for Kessie to complete his brace in added time of the first half.
Al Qadisiya received the final blow in the 61st minute when former Real Madrid centre-back Nacho Fernadez put the ball into his own net.
