Women’s Euro 2025: England’s Lucy Bronze tips Agyemang to have bright future

Women’s Euro 2025: Agyemang scores again as England reach final

England full-back Lucy Bronze has tipped Michelle Agyemang to have a bright future after playing a crucial role towards the Lionesses’ march to the 2025 Women’s Euro championship final, Afrosport reports.

The 19-year-old, who is of Ghanaian heritage, scored goals that levelled the quarter-final and semi-final against Sweden and Italy respectively from behind, ultimately winning on penalties and extra time.

Both goals from Agyemang came from off the bench and were scored a few minutes before the end of regular time, earning lots of praise from her teammates.

“What a tournament from Michelle, especially coming in with the seniors just a couple of months ago … what a great player, what a bright future she’s got,” Bronze said per Reuters.

“She’s a little bit of the unknown and she brings something different … I think it gives her a lot of confidence and the team give her a lot of freedom.”

Agyemang is currently on the books of Arsenal but spent time on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion during the 2024-25 season, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 22 competitive appearances.

Meanwhile, England will face Spain in the Women’s Euros final in Basel on Sunday, hoping to win back-to-back titles and also avenge their loss to the Spaniards in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
