Brazilian giants Flamengo are reportedly interested in AC Milan forward Noah Okafor and Fiorentina striker M’Bala Nzola after closing in on the signing of Emerson Royal from Milan, Afrosport reports.
Royal, who was previously on the books of Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur, is set to fly to Rio de Janeiro on Saturday to have his medical.
According to Football Italia, the Brazilian side are looking towards more Italian Serie A players and are interested in Okafor and Nzola.
Switzerland international Okafor, of Nigerian heritage, was on loan at Napoli last season, making four appearances as the Partenopei won a fourth Scudetto. The former RB Salzburg forward is also of interest to Bologna and Besiktas.
Meanwhile, Angola international Nzola was on loan at French Ligue 1 side RC Lens, scoring six goals and providing one assist in 21 league games.
Flamengo are currently second in the Brazilian Serie A, standings, one point behind Cruzeiro. The team, led by former Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis, reached the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup in the United States, losing to Bayern Munich.
