Achraf Hakimi was on target as Paris Saint-Germain thumped Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0 to reach the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-finals, Afrosport reports.
Sunday’s round of 16 clash at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta was a reunion of Messi against his former club and it was the French outfit that got things off with Joao Neves heading in from a Vitinha free kick in the sixth minute.
Neves added the second in the 39th minute with a tap in after he was nicely set up by Spain midfielder Fabian Ruiz.
There was still time for more goals in the first half as Inter Miami’s Thomas Aviles put the ball into his own net for PSG’s third goal in the 44th minute before Hakimi netted the fourth in added time to complete the rout.

The victory will see PSG face either German heavyweights Bayern Munich or Brazilian giants Flamengo in the quarter-finals.
