Chelsea agree deal to sign Portuguese sensation Geovany Quenda

Chelsea have agreed to a deal in principle to sign Portuguese teenager Geovany Quenda from Sporting, Afrosport reports.

Quenda has reportedly agreed to sign a seven-year deal with the Premier League club, with an option for a further year.

The fee for the 17-year-old is estimated to be between €40 – €50 million, and he is expected to remain with Sporting until the summer of 2026.

Quenda, who made his senior Sporting debut in 2024, has scored two goals and provided eight assists across 43 matches in all competitions for the Portuguese champions.

The Portugal Under-21 international has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United to reunite with his former manager Ruben Amorim, who handed him his senior team debut at Sporting.

Sporting sit atop the Liga Portugal with 59 points, three more than second-placed Benfica, as they continue pushing for back-to-back league titles.
