Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has expressed frustration with his team’s 2-2 draw with AS Roma in Thursday’s Europa League action, Afrosport reports.
Spurs led 2-1 for much of the game in front of their own fans but were let down by an added-time goal by former Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.
Postecoglou was unhappy his team could not see off the game with a win, citing how leading 2-1 kept them in a tight situation.
“Frustrated with the way the game ended, obviously. Yeah, we should have killed that off a lot earlier,” the Australian said
“We should have killed really off in the first half with the chances we had. And at 2-1, you’re always kind of keeping the opposition in the game and you know, they’re throwing men forward. So, disappointing we weren’t able to see the game out. But you know, ultimately we’re still in a decent position.”

Meanwhile, Roma boss Claudio Ranieri was happy with his team’s performance, praising the players for their fighting spirit.
“I’m very happy with the performance, every single player gave all they had,” the Italian said.
“I’m very happy for the fans because they could see a team that played with desire, determination, pride. We had three disallowed goals in the match, we managed to score a goal at the last gasp. And that’s the kind of performances I love when my players never give up.”
The result sees Tottenham drop out of the automatic qualification spots to ninth while Roma are in 21st position.
