The Extreme Fighting Championship is poised to deliver an action-packed event with two championship titles on the line, which headline a massive 12-fight card in EFC 119 on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
The main event will see current Interim Flyweight Champion Terence “Black Panther” Balelo defend his title against the undefeated Edson “Trapdoor Spider” Machavane in what is expected to be an electrifying clash at the World Sports Betting EFC Arena in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Balelo, whose lethal submission ability makes him one of the most feared fighters in the division, recently secured a first-round win in his last fight against French kickboxer Liridon Ramani in June, securing victory with a guillotine choke.
Machavane, on the other hand, has an unblemished 5-0-0 record in the EFC and has emerged as one of the best grapplers in the 125-pound division. His last victory, a unanimous decision win in July, earned him the Fight of the Night honors.

Meanwhile, the co-main event features another blockbuster bout for the EFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, as Nigerian sensation Juliet Chukwu (6-1-0) faces off against the undefeated Dayne “Quiet Storm” Van Wyk (4-0-0) in the biggest fight to go down in Women’s MMA this year.
The preliminary card of EFC 119 is also stacked, featuring a total of seven action-packed bouts that will surely have fans on the edge of their seats from the opening bell.
