Ecuadorian footballer Marco Angulo has been reported dead on Tuesday by his club, LDU Quito, just a month after being involved in a car crash, Afrosport reports.
His last football match was just a day before his accident and the 22-year old was involved in the car crash on Quito on October 7 and had since then been hospitalised.
“With deep sorrow and sadness, we regret to have to inform you of the death of our dear player Marco Angulo,” LDU Quito, said in a statement on Tuesday morning.
“We convey our condolences to his family and his loved ones.
“His passing is an irreparable loss which will leave an indelible mark in our hearts.”

Reports claim he had been through multiple operations within the past week before giving up the ghost on Monday night.
The footballer was a young hot prospect and it hurts the fans of football in Ecuador.
The accident also took the lives of two others and the conditions of the remaining two people in the accident are unknown.
