AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Brama Traore names 25-man Burkina Faso squad for Senegal, Malawi ties

Burkina Faso manager Brama Traore has named a 25-man squad for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Senegal and Malawi, Afrosport reports.

The Stallions are currently top of Group K tied on 10 points with the Teranga Lions and have already booked their spot in next year’s finals in Morocco.

This will give coach Traore the opportunity to try out some new players and has called up defender Valentin Nouma who plays for Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

There are however spots for regular faces like Manchester City loanee Issa Kabore and Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba in defence.

There is also a place for Bournemouth forward Dango Ouattara, Shakhtar Donetsk’s Lassina Traore and captain Bertrand Traore.

Burkina Faso will play Senegal in the Burkinabe capital city of Ouagadougou on November 14 before travelling to Lilongwe to take on Malawi three days later.
