Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic says he is keen to work with Jadon Sancho again.
The English winger joined the Yellow-Blacks on loan from Manchester United in January after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho played a total of 21 times in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing as many assists as Dortmund reached the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday but lost to Real Madrid.
Sancho’s future is up in the air with uncertainty whether he has a place at United or elsewhere, however Terzic welcomes the opportunity to have him at Signal Iduna Park again.
“So, I think that the last six months Jadon (Sancho) has been brilliant for us. Of course, it took some time to get back into shape, but you can feel there’s quality and his skills they are going to improve our game straight away,” Terzic said.
“And he didn’t only improve his game, he also improved all the players around him because he is a player that, I think, he never thought about his first touch. This is natural born and he’s very gifted. I didn’t speak about the future because we have been talking about the present and the present was, he was playing a Champions League final in his hometown.
“A very special moment for him and I am really happy that he is with us and I think you can feel the joy that he receives in the dressing room and also the joy that he brings into the dressing room. And I am very, very happy to work with Jadon. We don’t know yet what the future will bring, but for sure it’s going to bring him another Champions League final.”

Reflecting on the Champions League final loss, Terzic said: “Well, after a Champions League final that we lost, it’s quite hard to find the right words. I have quite the chaos of emotions. I am quite proud. But then I’m also disappointed and empty. So it’s really difficult for me to think about the last 12 months and analyse that period.
“But I do think that we have had a season that has had a lot of ups and downs, and we’ve talked a lot about the season. We’ve had too many changes and a lot of games that didn’t go our way. But [the final] was the perfect example of what is possible with this team, what we can achieve. And that’s what’s important onwards.
“So we’ll have to analyse everything and we have to try to just be more consistent. And maybe you remember what I said a year ago, when I said that we don’t want to make a difference between the different competitions and about the opponent. We we only want to differentiate between winning and losing. And we didn’t manage to do that as often as we would have wanted.”
Despite failing to win the Champions League, Dortmund will qualify for next season’s competition despite finishing fifth in the Bundesliga, with Germany earning an extra spot based on UEFA’s club coefficient.
