Benin Republic head coach Gernot Rohr has named a 24-man squad for this month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Zimbabwe and South Africa, Afrosport reports.

Rohr has invited defenders Mohamed Tijani and Abdoul Moumini, midfielders Sessi D’Almeida, Dodo Dokou, and Hassane Imourane, and forwards Junior Olaitan, Andreas Hountondji, and Steve Mounie.

The German also handed call-ups to goalkeepers Serge Obassa of Remo Stars, Marcel Dandjinou, and Saturnin Allagbe.

The Cheetahs will take on the Warriors of Zimbabwe on 20 March at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, before taking on South Africa at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny five days later.

Benin, with seven points, sits third in Group C of the World Cup qualifiers, with the same points as Rwanda and South Africa, who both occupy the first and second spots, respectively, thanks to a superior goal difference.
