The German also handed call-ups to goalkeepers Serge Obassa of Remo Stars, Marcel Dandjinou, and Saturnin Allagbe.

The Cheetahs will take on the Warriors of Zimbabwe on 20 March at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, before taking on South Africa at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny five days later.
Benin, with seven points, sits third in Group C of the World Cup qualifiers, with the same points as Rwanda and South Africa, who both occupy the first and second spots, respectively, thanks to a superior goal difference.
