Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Morocco, Botswana, Tunisia and Cameroon will join the African qualifiers of the Paris 2024 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in the second round.
The Confederation of African Football held the draw for the qualifiers in its headquarters in Cairo on Tuesday with the 25 participating knowing their opponents.
The qualifiers will provide the two representatives that will represent Africa in next year’s Olympic Games.
18 teams will participate in the first round and the nine winners will progress to the second round where they will face the seven highest-ranked teams which involves 16 teams.
The first round of matches will take place between July 10-18, followed by the second round from October 23-31 and the third round is scheduled for February 19-28, 2024 then the final and fourth round of matches which will confirm the continent’s representatives will take place from April 1 to 9, 2024.
