Naomi Osaka was knocked out of the 2024 Wimbledon championship after suffering a straight sets 6-4, 6-1 second round loss to American Emma Navarro on Wednesday.
The Japanese superstar got past France’s Diane Parry in three sets (6-1, 1-6, 6-4) in the first round but had no such power against Navarro.
Osaka was broken in seventh game of the first set while it got worse in the second set, losing the opening game, third game and seventh game which won the match for 19th seed Navarro.

It marks the second consecutive Grand Slam the four-time major champion has fallen in the second round this year after the French Open in May.
Osaka fell in the first round of the Australian Open, where she is a two-time champion, in January.
Navarro will face Russian Diana Shnaider next in the third round.
