Vinicius, Bellingham & Rudiger make UCL Team of the Season

Real Madrid quartet of Antonio Rudiger, Dani Carvajal, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior have been included in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season.

The quartet were featured in a star-studded 4-3-3 formation revealed by UEFA’s technical team following their inspiring performances that sealed Real Madrid’s 15th Champions League title on Saturday.

Goals from Carvajal and Vinicius Jr. in the closing stage of the final game handed the Spanish giants a 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium.

Rudiger, who played in every game for Los Blancos, is joined in the defence by Carvajal who scored the crucial first goal in the final match at Wembley.

The duo are joined by the Borussia Dortmund trio of goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, Matt Hummels and Ian Maatsen in the defence.

The midfield consists of Paris Saint Germain star Vitinha, versatile Dortmund star Marcel Sabitzer and Bellingham who scored four goals in 11 Champions League appearances this season.

Real Madrid’s Brazilian star Vinicius Jr. leads the frontline after his contribution of six goals in 10 matches for Carlo Ancelotti’s victorious team, there was also a spot for Bayern Munich’s Hary Kane who finished as the top scorer with eight goals in 12 matches and Manchester City’s Phil Foden who scored five goals in the competition.

For the UEFA Champions League individual awards, Real Madrid also dominated with Bellingham scooping the Young Player of the Season award, Vinicius Jr. claimed the Player of the Season while Carvajal was honoured as the Player of the Week.
