Ghana were too much for Trinidad and Tobago as they overcame the Caribbean nation 4-0 to clinch third place in the Unity Cup 2025 tournament in London on Saturday afternoon, Afrosport reports.
The Black Stars were on the end of a 2-1 loss to West African rivals Nigeria in the semi-finals on Wednesday, while the Soca Warriors lost 3-2 to Caribbean rivals Jamaica.
It was the Ghanaians who started on the front foot at the Gtech Community Stadium, with captain and Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew registering his name on the scoresheet in just the fifth minute of play.
It did not take too long for Otto Addo’s men to extend their lead, with Razak Simpson making it 2-0 six minutes later.
Union Saint-Gilloise forward Mohammed Fuseini added the third goal in the 41st minute to give Ghana an unassailable lead before Lawrence Agyekum put the final nail in the coffin two minutes before the hour mark.

The Ghanaians will have no involvement in the June international window and will next focus on the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali in September.
Trinidad and Tobago will however have World Cup qualifiers against Saint Kitts and Nevis and Costa Rica on June 6 and 10 respectively before turning their attention to the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States, where they take on the tournament hosts, Haiti and Saudi Arabia.
Later on Saturday evening, the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica will square off again at the Gtech Community Stadium for the Unity Cup 2025 final.
