Jose Mourinho has called on his Fenerbahce players to fight to the end as they face Rangers in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night, Afrosport reports.
The Turkish giants lost 3-1 at home in Istanbul last week making the task of reaching the quarter-finals harder.
Mourinho, speaking ahead of the game at the Ibrox Stadium, just wants his players to have a good performance.
“…We are prepared for Rangers to, to try to play the same way in a low block, waiting for our mistake,” the Portuguese tactician said.
“I don’t know if you have to be patient, in case of, we have the dominancy of the game against a defensive team. I don’t know if you have to be strong defensively to cope with the first impact of a home team that wants to try to kill the tie, I don’t know. Only in the game can, can, can tell us. But we know what we want to do in, in both occasions.
“We’ve had this period of time where we could work. We could work both ways, attack a defensive block, trying to build against a team that presses high. We are ready for, for anything, hopefully we can, we can perform and hopefully we can fight until, until the end, which is, which is the only thing that I demand from my players.
“I don’t demand, we have to come here and win 4-0 or we have to qualify. I don’t demand anything like that, the only thing I demand is that we, we have to come here and have a goal.”
