The Flying Eagles of Nigeria arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, as they prepare to challenge for their eighth title at 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Twenty players and ten officials departed Morocco on Thursday morning and arrived at the Cairo International Airport in the evening, where they were received by the officials of the Nigeria Embassy.

The Nigerian contingents headed straight to the Jewel Sports City and Aqua Resorts, where the players and officials will be based ahead of their first training session, which took place on Friday morning.
Ladan Bosso’s team will begin their title challenge against Senegal in Group A at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday followed by clashes against tournament hosts Egypt and finally Mozambique.
The tie with the Teranga Lions will be a rematch of the 2015 U-20 AFCON final which the Eagles won 1-0 in Dakar for their seventh title, extending their haul as the tournament’s most successful team.
