Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Premier League rivals Manchester City in a bid to sign Brazilian winger Savinho, Afrosport reports.
According to BBC Sport, discussions have been ongoing between the two clubs, with City valuing the 21-year-old in the region of £50 million, eclipsing the £30.8 million paid to acquire him from affiliate French club Troyes last summer.
Savinho played 48 times in all competitions last season but only scored three goals and provided 13 assists. It represented a step down from his time on loan at Girona during the 2023-24 season, when he scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 41 games as the Spanish side challenged for the La Liga title and finished in the top four to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
City have already signed Rayan Cherki from Olympique Lyon, which could limit Savinho’s playing time for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
He however has an opening at Tottenham following the departure of Heung-Min Son to MLS giants Los Angeles FC last week.
They have already bought Ghana winger Mohammed Kudus in a £55m deal from West Ham United, but were unable to get a deal for Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.
