Tottenham Hotspur will be without forward Dominic Solanke for the next six weeks due to a knee injury he sustained in training, Afrosport reports.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou revealed that Solanke will not require surgery for the injury that forced him to miss their Premier League defeat at Everton and Thursday’s Europa League win against Hoffenheim.
“With Dom, the information now is that we are looking at around the six-week mark,” Postecoglou said after his team’s 3-2 win in Germany.
“No surgery. Maybe we can get him back a little bit earlier, just see how he progresses. But, at this stage, it’s saying around six weeks.”
Solanke, however, joins a frustratingly growing list of injured players at Tottenham, which includes goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, as well as Brennan Johnson, among others.
Spurs are currently 15th in the Premier League, having claimed just one win in their last 10 league matches.
The north London club sits sixth in the Europa League standings with 14 points after seven games and are nearing automatic qualification to the last 16.
Postecoglou’s men are in action on Sunday when they host struggling Leicester City in the Premier League.
