Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou believes Tottenham Hotspur are in a good place now as more of their players are returning from injury, Afrosport reports.
Spurs have had to deal with injuries to multiple players who have missed significant action this season. It has seen them struggle for consistency, especially in the Premier League where they are in 13th position.
The North London outfit will be up against AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 on Thursday and Postecoglou will fancy his chances of progressing further in the tournament.
“…You know now coming back significant players for us. But also, just having the sort of opportunity to try and trying really well with the whole group has been really valuable for us,” the Australian said.
“So, I think the time off and players sort of coming in, time off is in, you know, we could sort of schedule things and try a lot better has been… means we’re… I think we’re in a good place certainly to tackle what’s ahead.
“Yeah, so from that perspective, yeah, probably a month back we were really sort of struggling with those kind of things, just not enough players and no training and no recovery. Whereas now, you know, I think from our perspective, the last sort of yeah, two- and a-bit weeks have been really good for training, recovery and just the level of intensity we can put into preparing for games.”
