Frances Tiafoe has been knocked out the 2023 Wimbledon Championship after suffering a straight sets 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 loss to Grigor Dimitrov on Sunday.
The first two sets were played on Saturday but did not conclude because of rain.
In the first two sets from Saturday, Dimitrov was in control, breaking Tiafoe in the sixth and eighth game of the first set to see it out in just 32 minutes.
The second set went almost the same way, Dimitrov breaking his American-Sierra Leonean opponent’s serve in the sixth game to win the set in 32 minutes as well.
Sunday’s third set was pretty much the same as Dimitrov needed just 37 minutes to see out the set after breaking Tiafoe’s serve in the fifth and seventh game.

Reacting to his defeat after the game, Tiafoe said it was a “depressing” one.
“This was a really bad match. Horrible, horrible stuff,” he stated.
“To play this poorly is very depressing, especially at Wimbledon. I genuinely think I am one of the best grass-court players in the world but I didn’t show it at all. I have to live with that.
“It will hurt for a very long time. I couldn’t hit the room or make him play. It is tough to digest. I’ve never really felt like this after a loss. I’m shocked by how I performed.
“I played horrendously and it is unacceptable to get broken that many times on grass.”
Dimitrov will face sixth seed Holger Rune next in the fourth round.
In other men’s singles results on Sunday, Jannik Sinner, Andrey Rublev and Roman Safiullin all progressed to the fourth round.
