Super Falcons, Cameroon friendly gets new date and venue

2024 Olympic Qualifiers: Okoronkwo strike sends Super Falcons into final round

The double-header friendly between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Cameroon has been postponed to a new date, Afrosport reports.

The first of two friendlies between the Super Falcons and the Indomitable Lionesses was initially scheduled for Saturday, 31 May, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

However, the two sides will now meet on Monday, 2 June, at the renovated MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.

This follows Cameroon’s delayed arrival as head coach Jean Baptiste Bisseck only unveiled his squad for the friendlies on Friday.

The two international friendlies against the Indomitable Lionesses are part of Nigeria’s preparations for the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations set to kick off in July 2025 in Morocco.
