Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been voted Atalanta’s Player of the Season for the 2022-23 campaign.
Lookman enjoyed a remarkable debut season at the Stadio di Bergamo where he scored 13 goals and provided six assists in 31 Serie A matches.
The campaign turned out to be the 25-year-old’s best run in front of goal since he started his professional career at Charlton Athletic in 2015.
The Nigeria international saw off stern challenge from the Dutch duo of Teun Koopmeiners and Marten de Roon to clinch the top award.
Lookman joined Atalanta on a four-year deal from RB Leipzig in August 2022 after loan spells in the Premier League with Fulham and Leicester City.
