Nigeria’s Super Eagles will face CONMEBOL side Venezuela in an international friendly in the United States this November, Afrosport reports.
The clash is scheduled for Friday, 14 November, at the Shell Energy Stadium in East Downtown, with kick-off set for 8pm local time (2am Nigerian time).
The Super Eagles have endured a frustrating World Cup qualifying campaign and risk missing out on the finals for a second successive time. The three-time African champions currently sit third in Group C, six points behind leaders South Africa, and will wrap up their qualifiers in October with fixtures against Lesotho and Benin.
The fixture will mark Nigeria’s first appearance at the Shell Energy Stadium, while Venezuela will return to the venue for the first time since a goalless draw against Guatemala in March 2024.

The Super Eagles boast a perfect record against La Vinotinto, winning all three of their previous meetings. Their most recent encounter came in 2012, when goals from Brown Ideye, Nosa Igebor and Ogenyi Onazi sealed a 3-1 win for Nigeria.
The friendly will form part of Nigeria’s preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which takes place in Morocco from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
