Morocco’s Karim El Berkaoui and Mohamed Fouzair and Algeria’s Amir Sayoud all found the back of the net as Al-Raed inflicted a 3-1 loss away at Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr on Thursday evening.
The Portuguese superstar returned to his team after serving a one-game suspension for making what was considered obscene gestures towards opposition fans in a league match against Al-Shabab.
Things however did not go according to plan for the former Real Madrid star’s side when Cape Verde forward Julio Tavares combined with El Berkaoui to hand Al-Raed the lead in the 18th minute.

Al-Nassr equalised through Ayman Yahya six minuses later but Al-Raed restored their lead at the start of the second half as some fine Inter-play found Fouzair who finished off with aplomb.

The victory was Al-Raed’s first win in four league games which took them five points clear of the relegation zone in 13th place while it was back-to-back competitive losses for Al-Nassr after their 1-0 loss to Al-Ain in the AFC Champions League on Monday.
