Georges-Kevin N’koudou continued his rich vein of scoring form in the Saudi Pro League, this time netting a brace in Damac FC’s 3-1 win over reigning champions Al-Ittihad on Thursday.
The Cameroon forward previously netted a brace in Damac’s 4-2 away win at Al Feiha and continued where he left off by opening the scoring against Al-Ittihad in the 12th minute, making a darting run from the centre of the pitch into the box before firing a fierce shot into back of the net.
Morocco forward Abderrazak Hamdallah equalised for Al-Ittihad from the penalty spot in the fifth minute of added time in the first half but N’koudou was able to re-establish Damac’s lead two minutes later, also in added time, with another fierce strike on the edge of the penalty area.
It was the 28-year-old’s seventh league goal in his last three matches and his 13th in 15 games this season which sees him sit joint-second on the top scorer’s list alongside Al-Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic and behind Al Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
