Sancho to train separately away from Manchester United first team

Manchester United have announced that Jadon Sancho will indefinitely train away from the first team while resolving a disciplinary issue.

The 23-year-old was out of the Red Devils squad that lost 3-1 to Arsenal in the Premier League before the international break. Manager Erik ten Hag said after the game that Sancho was left out of the team for not performing up to expected levels in training. Sancho however hit back at those comments claiming Ten Hag was not telling the truth and was being used as a scapegoat. He has since deleted the social media post.

Sancho’s future in the team has remained in doubt ever since and United have released a statement for the first time on the matter which read:

“Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.”

Sancho’s absence means United are short of right-sided wingers as Antony is currently also away from the team dealing with domestic violence allegations against him from multiple women in Brazil while Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo is currently injured, leaving only Uruguay international Facundo Pellistri as the only viable option.

The Red Devils will host high-flying Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
