Casper Ruud won the 10th title of his burgeoning career by defeating Miomir Kecmanovic 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) in the Estoril Open on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Norwegian broke Kecmanovic’s serve twice in the first set to take charge of the match. The second set saw both players hold serve and went into a tie break which Ruud comfortably won 7-3.
The victory ends a nine-month winless streak for Ruud who last won a title at the Gstaad Open in Switzerland last July. It is also the ninth of his 10 titles to come on the clay surface.
